Track and Field trio earns All-Region honors

Harrogate, TN -- The U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association has officially announced its All-Region honors for the outdoor season, recognizing three standout student athletes from Lincoln Memorial University for their exceptional performances on the track. This prestigious distinction is awarded to individuals who finished the regular season ranked among the top five in their respective events within their region, highlighting the high level of talent currently representing the Railsplitters program.

The men's team saw two of its premier sprinters and middle distance runners secure their spots on the All-Region list. Luis Boerkey earned his honors in the men's 800 meter run following a season defined by consistent improvement and competitive times against regional rivals. Joining him is Vincent Quilici, who was recognized for his speed and endurance in the men's 400 meter dash. Both athletes played a pivotal role in the team's success and their inclusion in the USTFCCCA rankings underscores the strength of the men's sprinting and middle distance units.

On the women's side, Theresa Brosthaus solidified her status as one of the top middle distance competitors in the region. She received All-Region accolades in the women's 800 meter event, an achievement that reflects her dedication and impressive marks throughout the outdoor campaign. Her performance continues a strong tradition of excellence for the Lady Railsplitters on the track. With these three honors, Lincoln Memorial University continues to build its reputation as a home for elite athletic talent.
