Women's Track & Field John Dunn

Track & field recognized by USTFCCCA for remarkable academic achievements, three named All-Academic

Harrogate, TN -- The Lincoln Memorial track and field programs have earned national academic honors from the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association after a superb year in the classroom. Both the men's and women's squads were designated as All-Academic Teams for their impressive overall academic performance. The men's program achieved a commendable 3.6 cumulative grade point average, while the women's program stood out at the top of the national list by tying for the highest recognized grade point average in the nation with a remarkable 3.75 cumulative GPA.

In addition to team honors, three outstanding student-athletes received individual All-Academic recognition. From the men's program, engineering major Luis Boerkey and criminal justice major Vincent Quilici were honored for their accomplishments. On the women's side, education major Theresa Brosthaus earned individual honors. The trio also earned All-Region honors in May, and is awarded to individuals who finished the regular season ranked among the top five in their respective events within their region.
