Harrogate, TN — Six Lincoln Memorial University women's cross country and track and field student-athletes have earned prestigious national recognition for their outstanding achievements both in competition and in the classroom. Theresa Brosthaus, Greta Chizzali, Jacie Begley, Kylee Alvis, Emily McPherson, and Maggie Sanderson have all been named to the Academic All-District women's teams by College Sports Communicators.

The 2025-26 Academic All-District Women's At-Large teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. This honor highlights the exceptional dedication required to maintain elite academic standing while competing at a high level within collegiate athletics.

The College Sports Communicators Academic All-America program separately recognizes men's at-large honorees in four divisions, which include NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. This stratified system ensures that student-athletes from all tiers of collegiate athletic governance are evaluated equitably alongside peers facing similar academic and competitive environments.

As standard procedure for this prestigious academic award program, Academic All-District honorees were considered for advancement to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America ballot. Academic All-America selections will be voted on and announced following the conclusion of the district-level recognition process, representing the pinnacle of academic and athletic dual excellence.
