Harrogate, TN -- College Sports Communicators announced the 2025-26 Academic All-District Baseball Teams, recognizing Lincoln Memorial University student-athletes Brady Morse, Alex Kowalski, Lucas Smith, Easton Barnett, and Dylan Maire for their exceptional performances both in the classroom and on the field. This prestigious honor recognizes student-athletes who maintain a high cumulative grade point average while making significant contributions to their team's athletic success during the season.
Designated hitter Brady Morse anchored the Railsplitters lineup by starting all 52 games of the season. Morse posted a stellar .323 batting average, .404 on-base percentage, and a .477Â slugging percentage over 195 at-bats. He recorded 63 hits, including a team-leading 17 doubles, two triples, and three home runs, while driving in 55Â runs and scoring 38 times himself. Morse also showcased excellent plate discipline, drawing 20 walks and being hit by a pitch 10 times to finish the year.
First baseman Alex Kowalski was another major force in the batting order, starting 41 of his 41 games played. Kowalski combined a .255 batting average with an impressive .889 on-base plus slugging percentage, fueled by his team-high eight home runs. In 137 at-bats, he tallied 35 hits, eight doubles, and 44 runs batted in while scoring 32 runs. Kowalski proved tough to keep off the base paths, walking 24 times and getting hit by eight pitches to secure a .385 on-base percentage and a .504 slugging percentage.
On the mound, Lucas Smith led the featured pitching staff with an 8-3 record across 22 appearances and five starts. Smith threw 49 and one-third innings, striking out 37 batters and maintaining a 4.38 earned run average and a 1.54 walks plus hits per innings pitched ratio. Easton Barnett proved to be a highly reliable arm out of the bullpen, making 25 appearances without a start. Barnett logged a 2-1 record with four saves, striking out 33 batters over 48 innings of work while pitching to a 4.69 earned run average. Dylan Maire rounded out the honored pitchers, making 19 appearances and five starts on the season. Maire compiled a 3-0 record with one save, registering 48 strikeouts in 46 and one-third innings pitched while holding opponents to a .303 batting average.
