HARROGATE, Tenn. -- The Lady Railsplitters (5-8, 3-7 SAC) concluded the LMU Tennis Complex schedule with a 9-0 loss at the hands of the 28th-ranked Queens Royals (13-2, 8-2 SAC) in South Atlantic Conference action on Saturday in Harrogate, Tenn.

Queens rolled through Lincoln Memorial in doubles play to set the tone for the match. Carlotta Nassi and Melissa Laing notched an 8-5 win over
Elena Vasilyeva (Yaroslavl, Russia) and
Gemma Goodland (Melbourne, Victoria, Australia) in the No. 1 tandem flight, while
Summer Robinson (Midway, Tenn.) and
Angelica Solano (Bogota, Columbia) were unable to muster a point in an 8-0 loss to Marta Gonzalez and Caroline Nielson in the second flight. Jackie Rock and Claire Hamilton capped the doubles sweep with an 8-3 win over
Priscilla Bulandres (Markham, Ontario, Canada) and
Roksolana Prudyvus (Lviv, Ukraine) in the third flight.

In absolutely stunning result, Vasilyeva's 10-match winning streak and unblemished SAC record were both erased in a 6-3, 6-2 loss to Nassi in the top singles flight, and things didn't get much better for the Lady Railsplitters throughout the remainder of singles play.

Goodland stumbled in a 7-5, 6-4 loss to Laing in the second flight, while Bulandres suffered a 6-2, 6-2 loss to Gonzalez in the third flight. Nielson bested Prudyvus 6-1, 6-2 in the fourth flight, while Robinson and Solano lost in the fifth and sixth flights.

The Lady Railsplitters complete the 2015 season on Sunday when they travel to Jefferson City, Tenn. for a SAC clash against the Carson-Newman Eagles, set to get underway at 2 p.m.
