Notes on the Railsplitters:

-Lincoln Memorial fell to 1-3 in its last four matches with a 1-0 loss at No. 10 Wingate on Saturday. The Bulldogs scored the lone goal of the contest in the third minute, and allowed the Railsplitters to log just six shots and two shots on goal to post the shutout. The loss dropped the Railsplitters to 2-9-1 all-time against Wingate and 0-5-1 since the start of the 2012 campaign.

-Goals have been hard to come by of late for the Railsplitters, who have tallied just three goals over the past four matches. Over that span, Lincoln Memorial was blanked by No. 18 Tusculum and No. 10 Wingate. The Railsplitters are ranked 10th in the SAC in total goals scored (12), 11th in shot percentage (.093) and 10th in shots on goal percentage (.411). LMU has also produced the third-fewest corner kicks in the conference with 36.

-The Railsplitters have had a tendency to relinquish goals early in matches this season. Over the course of nine matches, Lincoln Memorial has allowed five goals within the first 25 minutes, with three of those coming in the opening 10 minutes. The Railsplitters have trailed at some point in six of their nine appearances on the pitch this season.

-Lincoln Memorial is 3-1 against nonconference opponents this season. The Railsplitters suffered a season-opening loss to Montevallo, but have since defeated UNC Pembroke 2-1, Southern Wesleyan 3-1 and Young Harris 2-1.

-The Railsplitters have been solid at the LMU Soccer Complex this season, posting a 3-1 mark. LMU has racked up 61 shots, six goals, six assists and allowed just three goals in four home matches. On the road, the Railsplitters have registered 29 shots, three goals, three assists and allowed 1.33 goals per match in three appearances

-Senior forward George Burne (Carlisle, England) will be returning to the lineup after missing the Wingate match. Burne was unavailable for that contest after drawing two yellow cards in the previous match against Lenoir-Rhyne.

Notes on the Bobcats:

-Lees-McRae snapped a four-game losing streak on Saturday with a 1-0 win over Mount Olive. Pol Vassart scored the game-winner in the 30th minute to give the Bobcats their first win since a 3-0 shutout victory at North Greenville on September 14.

-The Bobcats are 3-3 in Conference Carolinas play, but 0-4 in nonconference action. All four of those losses came at the hands of South Atlantic Conference foes: a 2-1 double overtime loss to Anderson, a 2-1 loss at Carson-Newman, a 2-1 overtime loss to Tusculum and a 2-1 loss at Mars Hill.

-Lees-McRae is averaging 1.70 goals and 12 shots per game, ranking sixth and eighth in the conference in those respective categories. However, the Bobcats account for a large percentage of high-quality shots, ranking third in the league in shots on goal percentage with a .525 mark. Additionally, the Bobcats have racked up 42 corner kicks and 13 assists. Defensively, the Bobcats haven't fared as well, allowing 2.06 goals per match.

-Junior midfielder Thomas Deeley is leading the Bobcats with 16 points on six goals, four assists, 31 shots and 19 shots on goals. Sophomore Pol Vassart has produced five goals on 18 shots and 11 shots on goals, while sophomore Palle Jespersen has tallied three goals and one assist. Freshman Taylor Gray has notched three assists.

-Junior Tyler Pavlet is likely to make the start in goal for the Bobcats. Pavlet has accumulated a 2.11 goals against average, 41 saves and allowed 19 goals over 810 minutes of action.

-The Bobcats are 2-6 against South Atlantic Conference opponents over the past two seasons.

Series History:

-Lincoln Memorial has faced off against Lees-McRae eight times since the 1990 campaign, compiling a 4-3-1 edge in the series over that span. The Railsplitters are 1-1-1 against the Bobcats at home, but that win came way back in 1995, a 4-0 thrashing.

-The Railsplitters defeated the Bobcats 3-2 last season in Banner Elk, N.C. Danilo da Silva (Campinas, Brazil) and Philip Wong (Hong Kong, China) each had goals in that match, with Wong tallying the game-winner in the 80th minute.
