CHARLOTTE, NC -- The Lady Railsplitter tennis team (4-4, 0-3 SAC) fell to 0-3 in South Atlantic Conference play as they lost at 45th-ranked Queens (6-1, 4-0 SAC) 8-1 on Leap Day Monday afternoon.
Queens swept the doubles matches, winning by 8-4, 8-2 and 8-2 margins.
Roksolana Prudyvus (Lviv, Ukraine) earned LMU's only win of the afternoon at No. 5 singles as she won 8-6 over QU's Claire Hamilton. In a battle of Martas, LMU's
Marta Pinol took Marta Gonzalez to a third tiebreaker set before falling 6-1, 4-6, 10-3.
LMU will play their next three matches on the road. First up will be Anderson this Friday at 2 p.m. followed by Mars Hill on Saturday at 1 p.m.
