HARROGATE, Tenn. -- The Railsplitters (12-4) begin a six-game homestand this week with a nonconference game against the Shorter Hawks (10-9) on Tuesday and another one against the Lee Flames (8-10) on Wednesday. Here's everything you need to know:

Quick Hits: -The Railsplitters notched their best start to South Atlantic Conference play in program history this past weekend by sweeping a three-game set from the 20th-ranked Newberry Wolves in Newberry, S.C. In game one, Lincoln Memorial rallied from a 3-1 deficit in the eighth and a 7-5 deficit in the ninth to cap a 12-7 victory. Freshman left-hander

Eric Kalman (Brooklyn, N.Y.) went 6-for-12 at the plate this past weekend to extend his hitting streak to 15 games. The highlight of his weekend came in game two, when he went 4-for-5 with two doubles and two RBI. The Brooklyn, N.Y. native is ranked among the top 10 in the SAC in hits (28), batting average (.452) and on-base percentage (.514).
-Kalman is one of five LMU players that has reached base in at least 12 straight games.
Jean Rodriguez (Caguas, Puerto Rico) has a hit in four straight games while reaching base safely in 15 straight. Ewers and Valdez have a reached base in 13 straight games, while
Russell Clark (Wexford, Pa.) has accomplished that feat in 12 consecutive games. The Railsplitters enter the week ranked second in the South Atlantic Conference in on-base percentage with a .442 clip.
-The Railsplitters cleaned up their fielding in that series at Newberry, committing just one error over the three-game stand. Prior to that series, Lincoln Memorial had made three errors in four consecutive games. The Railsplitters are now ranked fourth in the South Atlantic Conference with a .965 cumulative fielding percentage.

Notes on the Opponents:-Shorter enters Tuesday's contest fresh off of a three-game sweep of Mississippi College this past weekend in Rome, Ga. Prior to that, the Hawks had lost five consecutive games.
-The Hawks' offense has been hit or miss so far this season, as Shorter is hitting .256 as a team with a .363 on-base percentage. The Hawks are averaging just over five runs per game with 29 total doubles and 17 home runs. Dustin Lawson is leading Shorter with a .466 batting average, 27 hits and eight doubles to go along with 17 RBI and two stolen bases. He has struck out just one time in a team-leading 58 at-bats. Sheldon Drake is hitting .389 with seven RBI, while Blaze Vazquez has a team-high seven home runs and 19 RBI in just 54 official at-bats.

Ben Holland has been an absolute terror in the middle of the Flames' order with a .426 batting average, eight doubles, 10 home runs and 26 RBI. He is currently carrying a 1.049 slugging percentage. Trenton Hill and Luke Toms are both hitting .328. Toms has five double, four homers and 16 RBI.
-Lee hasn't been great on the mound this season, as the Flames enter the week with a 5.86 earned run average and a .279 batting average against.
Series History:-The Railsplitters are a perfect 3-0 all-time against Shorter. The two teams last met in 2014, when Lincoln Memorial came away with a 13-8 victory at Lamar Hennon Field. The Railsplitters also swept a doubleheader in Rom in 2013.
