HARROGATE, Tenn. – The Lady Railsplitters (6-7, 1-6 SAC) host the Mars Hill Lions (2-9-1, 1-6 SAC) for a must-win South Atlantic Conference match on Wednesday afternoon at the LMU Soccer Complex. Lincoln Memorial and Mars Hill are both tied in eighth place – the final spot that earns a bid to the SAC Championship – with three league matches remaining in the regular season.

- The Lady Railsplitters suffered a 1-0 loss on Saturday at Coker, who entered that match riding a seven-game losing streak with a six-game scoreless streak. Lincoln Memorial was once again undone by a goal off of a set piece, as Autumn Fetterolf connected on a free kick in the 55th minute to tally the game winner.
- Following Saturday's result, Lincoln Memorial has now had four 1-0 losses this season to surpass the 2003 team for the most in program history.

Brooke Taylor has allowed a goal or less in back-to-back matches. The White Pine, Tenn. native has started all 13 matches this season and logged a SAC-high 1,169 minutes in goal. Over that span, she has accumulated 66 saves and a .776 save percentage, ranking fourth and eighth in the conference, respectively.
- The Lady Railsplitters are currently locked in a three-way tie for eighth place in the SAC standing with Coker and Mars Hill. The top eight teams in the final league standings earn bids to the single-elimination SAC tournament. Catawba and Anderson – the two other conference teams left on the schedule – are sitting in sixth and seventh place in the league.
- LMU has scored just four goals in SAC play this season, which ranks eighth in the conference and is ahead of only Mars Hill (3) and Coker (1). All four of those goals have come in the past four SAC matches, as the Lady Railsplitters scored against Wingate before putting two in against Carson-Newman. Lincoln Memorial also scored the only goal of the match in its win over Newberry.

- Since opening the season 1-1-1, Mars Hill has lost eight of its last nine matches outright, including a current streak of four straight. Since beating Coker 2-0 on September 27, the Lions are winless and scoreless in the month of October. In losses to Lenoir-Rhyne, Queens, Lander and Tusculum, Mars Hill has been outscored by a combined 9-0.

Mars Hill scored with six seconds remaining in the first half to power a 1-0 win at the LMU Soccer Complex during the 2015 season. Last season, Aleonya Hunter scored in the 108th minute to give the Lions a 1-0 double-overtime win in Mars Hill. LMU is 6-2 all-time at home against Mars Hill.
