HARROGATE, Tenn. – The LMU women's tennis team picked up their first win of the season with the 6-3 victory over the University of the Cumberlands Saturday afternoon at the LMU Tennis Complex.

LMU won two of the three doubles flights as Marta Pinol (Tivenys, Spain) and Roksolana Prudyvus (Lviv, Ukraine) picked up the 8-4 win over UC's Denee and Luka Lyttle at the No. 3 flight and Julia Loos (Frankfurt, Germany) and Johanna Delisse (Oss, The Netherlands) defeated Maria Ochoa and Marian Bogajo 8-6 at No. 2.

In singles, Pinol defeated Ochoa 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2 while Loos picked up the 7-5, 6-1 win at No. 3 over Jaclyn Jewell at the No. 3 flight. LMU's Javiera Gonzalez (Santiago, Chile) gave LMU the victory with her 6-3, 6-4 win over Luka Lyttle at No. 5 while Angelica Solano (Bogotá, Colombia) gutted out a 6-2, 7-5 victory over Bogajo at the No. 6 flight to make the final score 6-3.

LMU will host Union College Thursday at 4 p.m. in the LMU Tennis Complex.
