BARBOURVILLE, KY – The LMU women's tennis team improved to 7-2 on the season as they coasted to the 8-1 win at Union College Thursday afternoon.
Union started the match down 2-0 after not having enough players.

In doubles, LMU made the score 4-0 after winning both flights. Julia Loos (Frankfurt, Germany)/Johanna Delisse (Oss, The Netherlands) defeated Ljiljana Pajcin/Carla Delgado 8-2 and Marta Pinol (Tivenys, Spain)/Roksolana Prudyvus (Lviv, Ukraine) blasted Brittany Lamb/Erika Broady 8-1.

In singles play, Loos blanked Delgado 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2, Javiera Gonzalez (Santiago, Chile) defeated Lamb 8-2 at No. 3, and Angelica Solano (Bogota, Colombia) pounded Broady 8-1 at No. 4. At No. 5, Kiersten Waugh (London, Ontario) defeated Kacie Dotson 8-4.

LMU will play at Carson-Newman Tuesday afternoon.
