HARROGATE, Tenn. – The homestanding Lady Railsplitters kept it close, but in the end Anderson pulled out the 8-1 South Atlantic Conference win Tuesday afternoon at the LMU Tennis Complex.

LMU falls to 10-7 overall and 4-6 in SAC play while Anderson moves to 16-4 and 9-2.

The Trojans won at No. 1 double 8-2 and No. 3 doubles 8-3. At No. 2, Johanna Delisse (Oss, The Netherlands) and Julia Loos (Frankfurt, Germany) took a 7-4 lead over Delaney Wiggins and Jacqueline Olivia only to see the Trojans storm back and pull out the 9-7 win to put AU ahead 3-0 going into singles play.

In singles, Delisse took the close 7-6, 6-4 loss at No. 1 and Marta Pinol (Tivenys, Spain) fell in three sets 6-4, 4-6, 10-7. The Trojans then picked up a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 3 and a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 4. At No. 5 Roksolana Prudyvus fell 8-5 to Olivia and at No. 6 LMU picked up their lone win of the day as Angelica Solano (Bogota, Colombia) improved to 13-3 overall and 8-2 vs. SAC competition on the season with the 9-8 win over Jennifer Holcombe.

LMU plays at Lenoir-Rhyne Thursday at 3 p.m.
