MILWAUKEE, Wis. — There was no cooling down the Lady Railsplitters Friday.

The No. 14 Lincoln Memorial University women's bowling team finished day one at the Warhawk Classic a perfect 5-0, defeating No. 15 Adelphi (1,008-825), No. 18 Central Missouri (911-900), No. 19 LIU Brooklyn (947-919) plus Elmhurst (943-798) and Lewis (1,004-901) to end and start a stellar outing in a snowy Milwaukee, Wis.

Those five baker games put the Lady Railsplitters at 4,813 pins, good for a 192.5 average per game and ninth place out of 18 teams.

"Anytime you can go undefeated, it is a solid day on the lanes," LMU Director of Bowling and Women's Head Coach Joseph Slowinski said. "With such a strong field, we want to perform consistently well all weekend."

LMU was one of four teams to sweep its five matches, joining first-place and No. 2-ranked McKendree (5,388 pins), third-place and No. 4-ranked Sam Houston State (5,217) and fourth-place and No. 21-ranked Wisconsn Whitewater (5,061).
