HARROGATE, Tenn. –Lincoln Memorial University's baseball team, winners of five straight, will host the Lake Erie College Storm to the new Lamar Hennon Field for a three-game series this weekend. The Railsplitters (6-2) are rolling at home offensively and have outscored opponents 62-6 in their three home games. Lake Erie (0-0) will play its first games of the season.

- Lincoln Memorial is 2-0 on the week with a 32-4 home win over UVa-Wise and an 8-7 come-from-behind road win at Erskine Wednesday.
- LMU used a five-run seventh inning to erase a 7-3 deficit Wednesday at Erskine.
Muta Crusoe and
Nate Stinson took part in all eight LMU runs and accounted for five of the team's nine hits. Crusoe finished 2-for-4 with a walk, double, two runs scored and three RBI. Stinson also drove in three in a 3-for-5 day with a double, run scored and stolen base.
Chase Randolph pitched 3.2 no-hit innings in relief and struck out five to pick up the win.
- The Railsplitters set a program record for hits with 33 and scored the second-most runs in program history Monday with a 32-4 shellacking of UVA-Wise. LMU also broke a program record with 59 at bats. The team hit a ridiculous .559 (33-for-59) overall, which included a .571 average with both runners on base (28-for-49) and runners in scoring position (24-for-42). All 17 Railsplitters to record an at bat tallied at least one hit, and 15 drove in at least one run. Nine players tallied multiple RBI. Most of the hits were singles, as only seven went for extra bases.
- Lincoln Memorial has averaged 18.1 runs and 18.6 hits per game during its five-game win streak. For the season, the Railsplitters are batting a collective .358 with a .467 on-base percentage and .531 slugging percentage.

Tyler Adams is the reigning AstroTurf SAC Player of the Week after going 6-for-10 in last week's three home games Saturday and Monday with two doubles, five RBI, six runs scored and a stolen base. He reached base in 10 of 14 plate appearances overall with a pair of walks and hit-by-pitches. The sophomore shortstop added three walks and two runs scored Wednesday.

Logan Augustine has reached safely in all six games to extend his on-base streak to 34. The NCBWA Preseason All-American is batting .387 on the year with one home run and six RBI and is tied for the team lead in hits with 12.

Seth Hunt is also tied for the team lead in hits. Stinson's .476 average and 10 RBI are team highs. Adams leads with five doubles, 13 runs scored and a .649 on-base percentage.

Timmy Wages has one of the lowest batting averages among regular starters at .303 but has four of the team's nine home runs and leads the team with a .727 slugging percentage. No other Railsplitter has more than one home run.
- LMU pitching has also been solid with a 3.42 mark through eight games. Starting pitchers are also a combined 5-0. The team has collected 85 strikeouts through 68.1 innings (11.2 K/9).
Ethan Elliott leads with 20 strikeouts in 13 innings and a 0.69 ERA.
Joe Bobiak has won both his starts and has 13 strikeouts in 11.1 innings.
Dominic Morabito, the team's other probable starter, has a 3.27 ERA and 17 strikeouts in 11 innings.
Notes on Lake Erie:
- Lake Erie College, located in Painesville, Ohio just outside of Cleveland, will be playing its first games of the season. The Storm went just 11-38 in 2017, including a 4-28 record in the GLIAC. The team had three separate losing streaks of at least seven games.
- Lake Erie returns its top five hitters in Corbin Paxton (.361 AVG), Wes Birchmeier (.352 AVG, 6 HR, 39 RBI), Samuel Browning (.324/8/31), Nigel Williams (.319.4/22) and Rees Rua (.310/2/22). The Storm hit .288 as a team in 2017.
- Overall, the Storm return nine of the 10 position players that started half of the team's games in 2017.
- Lake Erie pitchers had a collective 8.82 ERA in 2017. Not a single pitcher posted a winning record. The only two players to post an ERA under 5.84 were Ryan Carver (3.38 in 2.2 innings) and David Lemasters (4.41 in 16.1 innings).
- Mitch Sorenson led the team with 11 starts and went 1-6 with a 7.59 ERA. Michael Stryffeler led the team in wins with a 3-4 record but had a 6.75 ERA in 10 games (seven starts). He also led the team in strikeouts with 53 in 42.2 innings. Connor Ryan pitched the most innings with 51.1 and was the only other player to record multiple wins with a 2-4 record in 10 games (nine starts).
