Box Score HARROGATE, Tenn. – The LMU women's tennis team opened up the new LMU Indoor Tennis Facility in style with the 8-1 win over the University of the Cumberlands Friday evening. The match was the first on-campus match in school history to be played indoors and was moved because of the cold temperatures in the tri-state area.

The Lady Railsplitters picked up all three points in doubles, with Kristin Vogel and Kiersten Waugh picking up the first win 8-2 on court two. Preseason All-SAC Second-Team Doubles partners Julia Loos and Johanna Delisse cruised to the 8-0 win on court one, followed soon after by Angelica Solano and Julia Valls 8-3 win on court three.

In singles, 35th-ranked Marta Pinol coasted to the 6-0, 6-1 win on court two while Loos 6-5, 6-1 on court three. On court one Vogel was in a slugfest with UC's Tomomi Nagao before falling in the tiebreaker set 1-6, 7-5, 10-8. Zellner, Valls and Solano then posted straight-set wins to close out the match.

LMU will host Bellarmine on Sunday at 10 a.m. in the LMU Indoor Tennis Facility.
