HARROGATE, Tenn. – The Lincoln Memorial University baseball team (17-9) kicks of a season-long 11-game homestand against Erskine (19-7) Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Lamar Hennon Field. LMU dropped two of three at Newberry over the weekend to fall to 5-7 in South Atlantic Conference play while Erskine swept Barton to improve to 8-4 in Conference Carolinas matchups. The Railsplitters used a five-run seventh inning to overcome a 7-3 deficit and defeat the Flying Fleet 8-7 in Due West, S.C. on February 14.

- LMU used a
Timmy Wages three-run shot to beat Newberry 3-2 in Friday's series opener.
Ethan Elliott pitched a season-high 8.2 innings and struck out 10 batters for the fourth time in seven starts. The lefty allowed two earned runs on seven hits and didn't walk anyone to improve to 3-2.
Chase Randolph retired the final batter to pick up his second save.
- The Railsplitter bats went cold Saturday as Newberry swept the doubleheader 11-1 and 2-0 to take the series. Newberry outhit LMU 14-5 in the first game to snap a nine-game losing streak to the Railsplitters.

Tyler Adams was held off the base paths for the first time this season to snap his 27-game on-base streak and 14-game hitting streak. The sophomore shortstop went 3-for-10 over the weekend to fall to third in the SAC in batting average at .398. Adams leads the conference in doubles (14) and on-base percentage (.526).
- Wages has connected for seven of the team's 24 home runs. Augustine is the only player (5) with more than two.
- Lincoln Memorial averages 9.0 runs and 11.3 hits per game for the season. Those totals increase to 11.2 runs and 13.1 hits at home. The Railsplitters have totaled at least 10 hits in 15 of 26 games overall and nine of 14 at home.
