Quick Hits:

- The Railsplitters kicked off the Carson-Newman series with a 2-1 walk-off victory Friday evening. Dalton Dedas delivered the game-winning base hit with two out in the bottom of the ninth. Ethan Elliott carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning and went the full nine with a career high-tying 12 strikeouts—eight of which were looking. He only faced one batter over the minimum and improved to 4-2 on the year with one earned run allowed on two hits.

- Timmy Wages walked off the Railsplitters to a 12-11 win in game one of Sunday's doubleheader after LMU fell behind 10-1 in the seventh inning. The Railsplitters were down 10-2 before a nine-run bottom of the eighth put the team up 11-10. Carson-Newman tied the score in the top of the ninth, but Wages delivered a 2-2 pitch through the right side on the ninth pitch of his at-bat to drive in the winning run. Justin Shaw made his first start of the season and finished 4-for-5 with a pair of runs scored and RBI. Logan Augustine went 3-for-3 with a walk and two RBI. Joe Stucky also notched three hits while Wages went 2-for-6 with three RBI.

- The Railsplitter bats were held mostly in check in the series finale. Joe Stucky went 3-for-3, but the rest of the lineup was held to just four hits. Chris Salvey and Dedas each hit two-run home runs to left in the second inning to account for the team's scoring output. LMU went hitless (0-for-7) with runners in scoring position.

- Augustine went 5-for-8 in the Carson-Newman series and is second in the SAC in batting average at .413 after a 3-for-5 performance Tuesday. He leads the team outright in hits (45) and stolen bases (10) and has reached safely in 29 of 31 games on the year.

- Augustine recorded the 231st hit of his career to become the program's all-time hits leader Sunday afternoon. He tied the record with an RBI single in the bottom of the eighth inning in game one of Sunday's doubleheader against the Eagles and took over sole possession with a one-out double in the bottom of the third inning in game two.

- Tyler Adams only went 2-for-11 in the Carson-Newman series to fall out of the SAC lead in batting average but rebounded with a solo home run Tuesday. He now sits in eighth at .373. The sophomore shortstop ranks second in the conference with 14 doubles and is tied for third with 37 runs scored. He has reached base safely in 29 of 30 games.

- Wages has connected for seven of the team's 26 home runs. Augustine (5) and Salvey (3) are the only other Railsplitters with more than two.

- Lincoln Memorial averages 8.58 runs and 11.03 hits per game for the season. Those totals increase to 9.95 runs and 12.21 hits at home. The Railsplitters have totaled at least 10 hits in 17 of 31 games overall and 11 of 19 at home.

- LMU pitching has been solid for the most part and is second in the SAC with a 3.98 ERA, though the team is third with a 4.69 mark in SAC play.

- Wingate starter Hunter Morgan shut down the Bears in the SAC series opener with one run allowed in 7.2 innings. Caleb Beatty drove in Lenoir-Rhyne's only run with a double in the sixth. Hunter Martin fell to 1-3 on the year with four runs allowed—three earned—in 5.1 innings.

- Matt Sullivan tossed a gem in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader to improve to 4-1 on the year as the Bears evened the series with a 4-0 win. The righty allowed just one hit over seven innings and struck out nine batters but also walked seven. Landon Whitson threw two scoreless innings to earn his school-record eighth save of the year. Beatty hit a pair of solo home runs, and Cole Fowler added a two-run single.

- Wingate's Bradley Brown broke a scoreless tie with a walk-off single with one out in the bottom of the eighth inning to give the Bulldogs the 1-0 win. John Grigg pitched all 7.1 innings and took the hard-luck loss to fall to 5-1 after allowing just the one earned run with seven strikeouts. The Bears' offense was held to just three hits.

- The Bears are one win away from tying last year's victory total.

- Beatty is batting .455 with two home runs and seven RBI since being inserted into the starting lineup seven games ago.
