HARROGATE, Tenn. –Lincoln Memorial University's baseball team continues its 10-game homestand this weekend as it welcomes South Atlantic Conference rival Tusculum (10-8, 4-2 SAC) to Lamar Hennon Field for a three-game series. The Railsplitters (14-6, 2-4 SAC) won their first South Atlantic Conference games of the year last weekend, 15-1 and 7-6, over Anderson but fell 7-6 in the series finale to move to 2-4 in SAC play. The team swept a nonconference doubleheader against Kentucky State on Tuesday. Tusculum has won the first two games and dropped the finale in both of its SAC series. The Pioneers dealt No. 9 Wingate its first conferences losses last weekend—9-7 and 7-2—before losing 15-11 in the final game of the series.

- LMU swept Tuesday's doubleheader against Kentucky State at Lamar Hennon Field by scores of 10-1 and 11-1.
Timmy Wages and
Logan Augustine each hit a pair of home runs—Wages had one in each game while Augustine homered twice in the nightcap. Augustine tallied five RBI between the two games.
- The Railsplitters picked up their first SAC win of the season last Friday with a 15-1 pounding of Anderson. All nine LMU starters collected at least one hit and took part in at least one run with either an RBI or run scored.
Will Reddick led the Railsplitters with three hits and added a run scored and RBI.
Ethan Elliott set season highs with 11 strikeouts and 7.1 innings pitched.
- Lincoln Memorial took a 6-0 lead in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader and held on to win 7-6. Reddick went 4-for-4 with a home run, three RBI and three runs scored.
Joe Stucky finished 4-for-5 with an RBI and was a home run shy of a cycle.
Mason Ewers added a two-run home run.
Joe Bobiak improved to 4-0 with one earned run allowed in 5.2 innings.
Dominic Morabito struck out the final two batters with runners on second and third to preserve the win and pick up his first save of the year.
- The Railsplitters again scored first and built a 3-0 lead in the series finale, but Anderson battled back to take the lead 6-4. LMU scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the seventh to tie the game and force extra innings, but the Trojans plated a run in the eighth and held on to win 7-6. The loss snapped Lincoln Memorial's 16-game home win streak. Reddick and
Tyler Adams each went 2-for-4 for LMU with an RBI and run scored. Augustine finished 2-for-5 with a pair of RBI and runs scored, including a two-run homer.
- Reddick is 11-for-16 in his last five games with a home run and six RBI and runs scored to raise his batting average from .235 to .455.
- Augustine saw his on-base streak end at 42 games in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader. Despite going 0-for-5 in that game, Augustine leads all LMU regular starters in batting average (.438), hits (32) and stolen bases (8). He is also tied with Adams for the team lead in runs scored (29). Augustine has 11 multi-hit games in his last 17 and has belted three home runs over his past three games.
- Adams is the only Railsplitter to reach base in all 20 games this season and 23 straight dating back to last season. The sophomore shortstop is batting .403 and leads the team in doubles (11) and on-base percentage (.549). His 27 hits and 21 RBI are second on the team. Adams' 11 doubles are tied for second nationally.
- Lincoln Memorial averages 10.4 runs and 12.3 hits per game for the season. Those totals increase to 12.3 runs and 13.8 hits at home. The Railsplitters have totaled at least 10 hits in 14 of 20 games overall and eight of 11 at home.

- LMU pitching has been solid for the most part with a cumulative 3.89 ERA. Starting pitchers are a combined 10-1 with a 2.86 ERA.
Joe Bobiak is 4-0 with a 2.33 ERA in five starts with Elliott is 2-1 with a 2.67 ERA.
- The team has collected 163 strikeouts through 150.1 innings (9.75 K/9). Elliott leads with 43 strikeouts in 30.1 innings. Morabito has 29 in 19.2 innings.
Notes on Tusculum:
- The Pioneers will be playing their first road series of the season. The team opened its season with a four-game trip through Florida at Embry-Riddle, Nova Southeastern, Palm Beach Atlantic and Lynn, going 2-2, and just finished playing 14 straight games at home.
- Tusculum is part of a four-way tie for second place in the SAC after home series wins over Mars Hill and Wingate.
- Tusculum rallied from a pair of early deficits to sweep Saturday's doubleheader over ninth-ranked Wingate. The Pioneers overcame a 5-0 deficit in the opener by scoring in each of the last five innings in a 9-7 victory. The team rallied for seven runs in the fourth inning of the finale to complete the sweep with a 7-2 win. Jake Wapinsky led the Pioneers at the plate by going 3-for-4 on the day with four walks, two RBI and four runs scored.
- Wingate salvaged a game with a 15-11 win in Sunday's series finale. Wingate took a 4-0 lead, but Tusculum plated the next eight runs—including seven in the fifth—to take an 8-4 lead. The Bulldogs battled back with seven runs over the next three innings to go back ahead 11-8, but the Pioneers tied the game back up with a three-run bottom of the eighth. Wingate plated four runs in the ninth to go ahead for good.
- The Bulldogs outhit the Pioneers 19-8 for the game. Nate Montgomery and Daulton Martin each went 2-for-4 and drove in three runs.
- Tusculum is last in the SAC with just four home runs on the season. Martin has hit two.
- Tusculum has also stolen a SAC-low nine bases. Three players have two apiece.
- Martin also leads the team in hits (28), average (.400), doubles (8), slugging percentage (.657) and is tied with Montgomery for the team lead with 15 RBI.
- Montgomery is fifth in batting average in SAC play (.455). Wapinsky is sixth at .444.
- The Tusculum pitching staff has a 4.85 ERA on the season. Leurys Diaz is 2-0 with a 5.23 ERA in five starts. The team is 4-1 in his starts. He lasted only 1.2 innings in Sunday's loss to Wingate and allowed three earned runs.
- Zach Sanders is 2-1 with a 3.71 ERA in four starts. The freshman has 17 strikeouts in 17 innings. He earned the win by allowing two runs in four innings in the team's 7-2 victory over Wingate Saturday.
- Charles Hall has struck out a team-high 22 in 17.1 innings. Primarily used as a reliever, the junior made his first start of the season in Saturday's 9-7 win. He allowed six runs and 10 hits in 6.1 innings in a no-decision.
- Pedro Rodriguez has a pair of saves and 1.59 ERA in 11.1 innings across seven relief appearances.
