HARSTVILLE, S.C. – The Lincoln Memorial University baseball team (23-14, 9-9 SAC) hits the road for the first time in 11 games for a trip to last-place Coker (11-20, 1-17) for a three-game South Atlantic Conference series this weekend. The Railsplitters will look to snap a season-high four-game losing streak after losing to Trevecca 11-10 on Tuesday and Bellarmine 14-0 and 13-6 on Wednesday. The Cobras have dropped eight straight after being swept at Newberry and Mars Hill in their past two series.

- Trevecca Nazarene scored a pair of runs in the ninth on back-to-back solo home runs to top LMU 11-10 in a back-and-forth affair Tuesday night. The Railsplitters were dealt their first nonconference loss since their season-opening series to snap a 13-game win streak.
Chris Salvey finished 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and pair of runs scored.
Will Reddick also went 2-for-5 with two RBI and runs scored.
Seth Hunt (2-for-4) and
Henry Moore (2-for-3) added two base hits apiece.
- The Railsplitters were swept by Bellarmine in Wednesday's doubleheader by scores of 14-0 and 13-6. LMU's 14-0 defeat in game one was its first home shutout loss since 2016 and just the second since 2011. The game was also the program's worst shutout loss since an 18-0 drubbing at No. 15 Florida Southern in 2012.
- In the second game, Hunt, Reddick and
Logan Augustine—LMU's 1-2-3 hitters—combined to go 7-for-8 with five runs driven in. Hunt finished 3-for-3 with a pair of RBI. Reddick went 2-for-2 with an RBI while Augustine was 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Joe Stucky also had two hits and scored twice.
- Augustine is third in the SAC with a .394 batting average and fifth with a .500 on-base percentage. He also leads the team outright in hits (50) and stolen bases (11) and has reached safely in 34 of 37 games on the year.

Tyler Adams is tied for the SAC lead with 15 doubles and third with 43 runs scored.

Timmy Wages has connected for eight of the team's 36 home runs. Adams, Augustine and Salvey have six apiece. No one else has more than two.
- The Railsplitters as a team have hit .351 at home compared to .261 on the road. On-base percentage (.443-.365) and slugging percentage (.543-.377) are also significantly higher at Lamar Hennon Field.
- LMU has recorded a double-digit hit total in 20 of 37 games overall and 14 of 25 at home. The team is hitting .320 overall.
- LMU pitching has been solid for the most part and is fourth in the SAC with a 4.72 ERA, which includes a 4.62 mark in league play (also fourth).
- The pitching staff has a collective 4.54 ERA at home and 5.09 on the road. It was 3.44 at home entering the week.

- The Cobras have been swept in five of their six SAC series. The team's only win in 18 tries was a 10-9 triumph over Wingate.
- Coker has SAC worsts of 76 runs scored and 196 runs allowed in league play.

- Coker was most recently swept at Mars Hill by scores of 7-5, 20-6 and 10-3.
- The Cobras are eighth in the 10-team SAC with a .273 batting average overall but have hit a league-low .257 in conference games. The team has also hit a SAC-low 12 home runs and seven in SAC games.
- Brooks Estrada and Bryson Conner lead the team in most offensive categories. Estrada leads with a .363 average and 41 hits and .522 slugging percentage. Conner leads with seven doubles and 22 RBI. The duo is tied for the most home runs (3), runs scored (18) and stolen bases (4).
- Coker's pitching staff is last in the league with an 8.19 ERA overall and a 10.64 mark in league play.
- Michael DeVecchio has been the team's most consistent starter with a 3-5 record, 4.62 ERA and three complete games in nine starts. Jake Moore (3.63) is the only other pitcher with more than three innings pitched with an ERA under 6.00.
Series History:
- The Railsplitters are 7-5 against Coker, including 4-2 in Hartsville.
- Coker won two of three meetings in Harrogate in 2017. The Cobras took the first game 4-2. The two teams split the doubleheader with LMU winning the opener 5-3 and Coker winning the seven-inning nightcap 6-4.
- Lincoln Memorial won five of the first six meetings, but Coker has won each of the past two series.
