HARROGATE, Tenn. – The Railsplitters will make their official LMU Lacrosse Complex debut on Wednesday afternoon when they welcome the Mars Hill Lions to town for a South Atlantic Conference matchup at 4 p.m.

Lincoln Memorial (2-6, 0-2 SAC) is hoping to snap a six-game losing streak and pick up the first SAC win of the season after taking the most lopsided loss of the 2019 campaign on Saturday in a 16-6 loss at No. 12 nationally-ranked Queens. Prior to that setback, the Railsplitters had lost their last four matches by a combined 11 goals.

Mars Hill (2-5, 0-3 SAC) is also striving for its first conference win of the season as the Lions have fallen 14-9 at Coker, 15-13 against Tusculum and most recently 18-4 at Wingate to open SAC play.

Wednesday's match will be the first time the Railsplitters have played on the LMU Lacrosse Complex field this season, as they were forced to hold their home opener against Alabama-Huntsville at the LMU Soccer Complex, and hosted Coker at Rocky Top Sports World in Gatlinburg.

Quick Hits

- The Railsplitters and Royals were tied at 2-2 at the end of the first quarter in Saturday's match in Charlotte, N.C., but Queens' top-ranked defense kept Lincoln Memorial off the scoreboard in the second and third quarters while reeling off 11 unanswered goals to power the victory. The 10-goal margin of defeat was the highest for the Railsplitters since a 20-6 loss at Saint Leo in February 2018.

- Kyle Arcuri and Ian Cook were the only LMU players with multiple points in the loss. Arcuri had a goal and an assist on seven shots, while Cook produced two goals on four shot attempts. Robert Tucker, Reggie Golfin and Andrew Gallagher also had goals for Lincoln Memorial.

- Arcuri is six goals away from becoming the second player in program history with 100 career goals, following in the footsteps of Adam Golia, who holds the record with 139. The senior Patchogue, N.Y., native also needs 16 more assists to overtake Golia for that program record as well. Arcuri currently has 71 career assists.

- Tucker is nine points away from joining the 100-point club, which currently has only four members in Golia, Arcuri, Billy Kopsky and Dylan Neisler

- Cook leads the team with 26 points on 20 goals and six assists. The sophomore attacker has scored at least two goals in six of his eight appearances this season.

- The Railsplitters' offensive attack has struggled for most of the season, as Lincoln Memorial is ranked 57th nationally out of 70 teams in points per game with 13.0. They are also 55th in scoring offensive with 9.5 goals per game, which is the lowest mark in the SAC.

- Lincoln Memorial claims the third-best face-off winning percentage in the SAC with a 54.7 percent clip. Hunter Clark has led that effort by going 73-for-130 inside the face-off circle, good for a 56.2 percent mark. Clark also leads the team with 39 ground balls.

- The Railsplitters are seeking their first win since beating Shorter 14-2 on February 8.

Notes on Mars Hill

- The Lions were completely dismantled by No. 16 Wingate on Saturday, as Mars Hill fell into a 5-0 hole and did not score until the 6:17 mark of the second quarter. The Bulldogs led 9-1 at the half and 14-2 after three before easing off down the closing stretch.

- Connor Fernandes, Jake Trafton, Parker Beaudry and Spencer Andrews scored a goal apiece to lead the Mars Hill attack, which was outshot 56-20.

- Mars Hill is last in the league in scoring defense, allowing 17.0 goals per match. Offensively, the Lions are second-to-last in the SAC with 11.14 goals per game.

- Trafton leads the Lions with 22 points on 15 goals and seven assists, while Zac Carrigan is just behind him with 21 points on 14 goals and seven assists. Andrews (16 goals, three assists) and Beaudry (13 goals, five assists) also have double-digit point totals for Mars Hill.

- The Lions are ranked 11th nationally in total saves (103) and saves per match (14.71), due in large part to the fact that they have been outshot 340-273 cumulatively this season. Freshman Joel Borman has started all seven matches, compiling a 16.39 goals against average and a 47.4 save percentage.

- Mars Hill shares just one common opponent with Lincoln Memorial in Coker. The Lions lost 14-9 to the Cobras, while the Railsplitters suffered a heartbreaking 10-7 loss to Coker.

Series History

- The Railsplitters are 2-2 all-time against Mars Hill with a streak of two straight wins in the series. Lincoln Memorial defeated the Lions 18-9 last season in Mars Hill before notching the first win in the series, 11-4, in 2017.

- Wednesday will mark just the second meeting in Harrogate, as the Lions pulled out a 7-6 victory in 2016.
