Hickory, N.C. - Lincoln Memorial men's lacrosse opens South Atlantic Conference tournament play as the six seed on Saturday, traveling to face three-seed Lenoir-Rhyne in the SAC Quarterfinal at 1:00 p.m.

This marks the Railsplitters return to the conference tournament for the first time since 2023, when LMU entered as the six-seed before falling to Newberry on the road and will mark the teams fourth appearance in the SAC tournament. 

The Splitters are looking for their first win over Lenoir-Rhyne, with the Bears leading the series 11-0. The most recent contest between LMU and LR was on March 21st of this past season, with Lenoir-Rhyne defeating Lincoln Memorial 21-5 in Hickory. 
 
Currently, Jenson Jones leads the team in points with 56, as he has a team-high 19 assists with a second-best 37 Goals, with Gavin Reid leading the way with 41 goals. Brixten McKenzie is leading in ground balls with 67 and face off win percentage with 53.2%, and Mark Alarcon is the team-leader in caused turnovers with 15. Goalkeeper Jayden Herman is leading the team in saves with 93. 

In the South Atlantic Conference, Jones is second in shot percentage (50.0%), and McKenzie is eighth in ground balls per game (4.47) and sixth in face off win percentage (53.2). Nationally, Jones is eighth in shot percentage.
 
As a team, Lincoln Memorial is fourth in saves (177), fourth in saves per game (11.80), and sixth in scoring defense (12.33).
 
Lincoln Memorial is coming off a regular-season ending 21-9 win on the road over Mars Hill on Wednesday while the Bears enter having won their last eight games, ending with a 19-5 win over Coker on Tuesday. 

Leaders for the Bears include Donovan Powell (#10), who leads in goals with 37 and assists with 30, and John Mink (#14), who leads in caused turnovers with 15. 

LMU is going into Saturday with an 8-7 overall record and a 3-6 SAC record, holding the sixth seed in the SAC Tournament.
