Mars Hill, N.C. - Lincoln Memorial men's lacrosse will go on the road to Mars Hill to face the Lions of Mars Hill University in the final regular season game of the season at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday
The midweek contest will be the 11th time that the two programs will meet, with the Railsplitters drawing the series even at 5-5. The most recent contest between LMU and MHU was last season in March of 2025, where Lincoln Memorial fell 13-14 to Mars Hill in overtime, as the Lions hold a two-game winning streak.
Currently,
Jenson Jones leads the team in points with 49, as he has a team-high 15 assists with a second-best 34 Goals, with
Gavin Reid leading the way with 38 goals.
Brixten McKenzie is leading in ground balls with 59 and face off win percentage with 52.2%, and
Mark Alarcon is the team-leader in caused turnovers with 15. Goalkeeper
Jayden Herman is leading the team in saves with 84.
In the South Atlantic Conference, Jones is second in shot percentage (50.7%), and McKenzie is eighth in ground balls per game (4.21) and sixth in face off win percentage (52.2). Nationally, Jones is seventh in shot percentage.
As a team, Lincoln Memorial is fifth in saves (164), fifth in saves per game (11.71), and sixth in scoring defense (12.57).
Lincoln Memorial is coming off a 6-21 loss to fourth-ranked Wingate team on the road on Saturday while Mars Hill was defeated 24-6 by Catawba.
Leaders for the Lions include Jake Mannix (#43), who leads in goals with 20, Caleb Nelson (#22), who leads in assists with 18, and Carter Aaron (#17), who leads in caused turnovers with 15.
LMU is going into Saturday with a 7-7 overall record and a 2-6 SAC record, and the Railsplitters tied for seventh conference standings with Tusculum. The Railsplitters hold the head to head tiebreaker with Tusculum, and in the event of a three-way tie with Coker and Tusculum would hold the tiebreaking point there.
The Lions enter at 2-11 this season with a 1-7 conference record, as the Lions are one spot out of last place in the conference standings
