HARROGATE, Tenn. – The Railsplitters will look to keep their longest winning streak since the 2017 season alive this weekend when the Queens Royals come to Lamar Hennon Field for a three-game South Atlantic Conference series.
Lincoln Memorial (21-8, 10-2 SAC) extended its winning streak to 10 games earlier this week with a 9-2 win over Shorter and a 16-2 victory over Kentucky State. For the Railsplitters, the 10-game streak is the lengthiest since they reeled off 11 consecutive wins from April 1-22 during the 2017 campaign. Lincoln Memorial also enters the weekend riding a six-game SAC winning streak.
It's been a different story for Queens (7-18, 1-8 SAC), which is in the first official season in program history. The Royals beat Winston-Salem State and Barton earlier this week, but had lost seven straight prior to that. Queens has dropped six straight SAC contests since picking up the first conference win in program history against Coker on March 3.
Game one will be played at 4 p.m. on Friday evening, while the series will be completed with a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
