NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Another four-game road trip begins for the Lincoln Memorial baseball team on Tuesday as the Railsplitters venture to the Music City for a single game against the Trevecca Nazarene Trojans.
Lincoln Memorial (11-8) dropped two of three against No. 10 Catawba this past weekend at Lamar Hennon Field to slip to 4-2 in South Atlantic Conference play, while Trevecca (5-6) went 1-2 last weekend as well in a doubleheader against No. 13 Southern Indiana and a single game with Wisconsin-Parkside. The Trojans' lone win of the weekend came in a 4-3 victory over Southern Indiana on Saturday.

Joe Stucky hit a leadoff, walk-off home run in the bottom of the 12th inning to propel the Railsplitters to a 5-4 win in game one of Saturday's doubleheader with Catawba.
Eli Wright and
Devin Morris provided stellar pitching performances, as Wright allowed just three hits and two earned runs over his five-inning start, while Morris surrendered just two earned runs and five hits in 5.1 innings of relief.
- The Railsplitters couldn't get anything going offensively in the series finale against Catawba, mustering just five singles off starter Bryan Ketchie in a 4-1 loss.
- Adams hit safely in all three games of the Catawba series, combining to go 8-for-14 at the plate with a double, two RBI and a run. Though the junior has only appeared in six games while working through a lingering injury, he is hitting a sizzling .522.
- Despite hitting it hard virtually every at-bat, Salvey went 3-for-10 in the series against Catawba with all three hits coming in the series opener on Friday. The senior first baseman still leads the team in batting average at .400 and hits with 28.

Ben Wiley has been the Railsplitters' go-to starter in nonconference matchups as the righty has made three starts so far this season, all in midweek action. Over that span, Wiley has posted a 1-1 record and a 5.74 ERA with 10 strikeouts over 15.2 innings total.

Nate Stinson extended his streak of reaching base to 19 games in the Catawba series. His 12-game hitting streak was snapped in the series finale, but the junior was hit by a pitch in the bottom of the second to keep his other streak intact.

Will Reddick has reached base in nine consecutive games. The senior went 4-for-13 in the Catawba series and connected on his first home run of the season in game two.
Notes on Trevecca
- The Trojans are in the midst of a 12-game homestand that began on February 15 and will not end until March 9. Trevecca is just 2-6 so far in this lengthy stay at Jackson Field, though.
- Trevecca has struggled to generate any consistent offensive output as the team is averaging just 4.2 runs per game. On top of that, the Trojans are ranked eighth in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference with a .228 batting average.
- In a 6-5 loss to Wisconsin-Parkside on Saturday, Dalton Mauldin led the way by going 3-for-4 with two RBI and a double. John O'Dwyer was the only other player with multiple hits, finishing 2-for-5 with an RBI and a run.
- The Trojans rallied to upset No. 13 Southern Indians in game one of Saturday's doubleheader at Jackson Field. Trevecca trailed 3-2 in the bottom of the ninth inning before Maudlin tied the game with an RBI single and O'Dwyer walked it off with a sac fly. Javier Lopez led the offense with a 4-for-5 day at the plate, while Maudlin added two more hits and a pair of walks.
- Trevecca's pitching staff is among the best in the G-MAC, ranking second with a 3.89 ERA while leading the league with a .221 batting average against.
- Lopez leads the team with 17 hits, while Bryant Goolsby is second with 15, highlighted by a team-leading five doubles. Maudlin has racked up 13 hits and four doubles, while Braden Odom has the team's only home runs with two.
- Trevecca is also one of the better fielding teams in the G-MAC, ranking third with a solid .962 fielding percentage.
- The Trojans are in their seventh season under the direction of former LMU assistant coach Ryan Schmalz. Schmalz, who served as an assistant under
Jeff Sziksai for seven seasons, has compiled a 199-127 record during his time in Nashville.
Series History
- The Railsplitters are 2-3 all-time against Trevecca.
- Lincoln Memorial has not beaten the Trojans since February 2001, as Trevecca topped the Railsplitters 11-10 last season and 5-4 in 2016. Both of those meetings occurred in Harrogate.
