GREENEVILLE, Tenn. – The Lincoln Memorial men's lacrosse team looks to snap a three-game losing streak and play its way into the postseason conversation on Wednesday with a trip to Greeneville, Tenn., to face the Tusculum Pioneers in South Atlantic Conference action.
The Railsplitters (3-9, 1-5 SAC) closed out the LMU Lacrosse Complex last Saturday with a 17-5 loss to Lenoir-Rhyne, which put Lincoln Memorial on the brink of missing out on the SAC tournament for the first time since 2016. Tusculum (6-4, 2-3 SAC), meanwhile, snapped a three-game skid of its own on Saturday with a 14-12 win at Coker.

Robert Tucker notched an assist in the match against L-R to become the fifth player in program history with 100 career points. The junior midfielder has accounted for the third-most points on the team this season with 29 on 18 goals and 11 assists.

Ian Cook leads the team with 40 points on a team-high 30 goals, but the sophomore was shutout by Lenoir-Rhyne, finishing with just four shots and one shot on goal in the loss. It was the only time this season that Cook has failed to register either a goal or an assist in a match.

Chris Tucker has been the most consistent offensive player for the Railsplitters of late with 10 goals total in his last four matches, including a four-goal, one-assist effort against Mars Hill in the Railsplitters' most recent win on March 20. Tucker is now fourth on the team in scoring with 23 points total.
- As it currently stands, the Railsplitters are in eighth place in the SAC standings with two regular-season matches remaining on the docket. Newberry, Tusculum and Coker are all standing immediately in front of Lincoln Memorial with two wins apiece in conference play. The top six teams in the final standings qualify for the SAC tournament.
- Two of LMU's three wins this season have come on the road, including season-opening wins at Barton and Shorter. However, the Railsplitters have lost five consecutive road matches since that win at Shorter on February 8.
Notes on Tusculum
- In Saturday's win at Coker, the Pioneers entered the fourth quarter trailing 11-10, but scored three goals in the final 1:55 to pull out the come-from-behind victory. Keegan Bell led the way for Tusculum with five goals and an assist, while Lorenz Brown had three goals.
- The Pioneers are ranked fourth in the conference in goals per match with 13.0 and convert their shots into goals at the highest percentage in the league with a 35.3 shooting percentage.
- Bell and Liam Macdonald have combined for 96 points to lead the Pioneers offensively. Bell has produced 36 goals and 14 assists, while Macdonald has racked up 17 goals with 29 assists, which leads the South Atlantic Conference. Kale Lawrence is the only Pioneer with more than 20 points this season with 15 goals and six assists.
- Tusculum is among the most forgiving defensive teams in the SAC, relenting the second-most goals per match in the SAC with 13.1. Freshman Ross Geiger has started all 10 matches in goal for the Pioneers, serving up 13.3 goals per match on a 48.7 save percentage.
- The Pioneers don't have a player ranked in the top 10 in the SAC in groundball recoveries, as Joel Edgar leads the team with 39, which ranks 12th in the league.
- Tusculum has actually been much better on the road this season with a 2-3 record at home compared to a 4-1 mark on the road. The Pioneers have dropped their last two home matches to Queens (16-8) and Newberry (16-13).

- The Railsplitters won last season's matchup against Tusculum 14-12 in Harrogate to improve to 2-3 in the all-time series.
