The Lincoln Memorial track and field teams are scheduled to compete in six meets for the 2022-23 indoor season, beginning with the Commonwealth College Opener on Dec. 3 in Louisville.
 
"Our indoor schedule definitely has a different look to it compared to past seasons," Director of Track & Field and Cross Country Rochelle Black said. "We want to put ourselves in a position to improve with each competition, and this allows for just that.
 
"Our conference, and region for that matter, is arguably one of the best in the nation. So in order to climb the ranks, we have to compete against high caliber competition. This will only make us better."
 
The 2023 portion of the calendar will begin on Jan. 14 at the Mondo College Invitational in Winston-Salem, N.C. Lincoln Memorial will be back at it the next weekend with the Finn Pincus Invitational hosted by Roanoke College in Salem, Va.
 
Two meets at VMI are up next on back-to-back weekends, first at the Winter Classic on Jan. 27 and 28 then the Winter Relays on Feb. 3 and 4.
 
The busy stretch of the season featuring meets on five consecutive weekends will then wrap up on Feb. 11 at the Samford Bulldog Invitational in Homewood, Ala.
 
Details on the South Atlantic Conference Championship meet have yet to been announced.
