Murfreesboro, TN - Lincoln Memorial University's Women's Golf Team closed out the fall portion of the 2023-24 year with a first place finish at the Music City Invitational. The cool weather played a factor in today's scoring with temperatures starting in the 40's and not getting above 53.
LMU has won back-to-back tournaments with this win, having won the St. Simons Intercollegiate last week in St. Simons, GA.
Coach Bradley Robinson said, "We are really proud of the way the women battled the elements this week. The weather was tough, and they did a great job handling tough conditions. Rounding out the semester with back-to-back wins is awesome after the hard work they have put in this semester. This was a great team win! Coach Christian Pickerel and I are proud of the work they continue to do daily, and I am thankful for the hard work Coach Christian puts in, none of this is possible without him."
Dilyara Bulambayeva climbed nine places and shot a one-under 71 today to help LMU secure the win. Bulambayeva and
Rachel Mathieson came in tied for second with 149's for the two days.
