The No. 15 Lincoln Memorial softball team is set to play a doubleheader at King on Wednesday beginning at 1 p.m.
 
The Railsplitters (11-1) moved up five spots in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association poll after a 7-1 week including a 5-1 showing at the Charger Chillout in Alabama that saw them beat No. 16 Indianapolis last Friday.
 
Catcher McKenzie Henry was named the South Atlantic Conference Player of the Week after posting a .762 batting average (16 for 21) including two home runs, two triples and four doubles plus 13 RBI and eight runs scored in eight games played on the week.
 
The Lincoln Memorial offense leads the SAC in walks (59, second in Division II) and stolen bases (16, 24th) while ranking second in total hits (104, fourth). The Railsplitter defense leads the league with a .982 fielding percentage that ranks 12th nationally.
Pitcher Emma Frost leads the country in wins (six), complete games (six) and shutouts (three), while shortstop Sierra Hucklebee paces Division II with three sacrifice flies so far on the year.
 
SCOUTING KING: The Tornado enter Wednesday at 1-5 after opening their season with a pair of losses to SAC member Lenoir-Rhyne on Feb. 8 before going 0-2 against No. 5 North Georgia and 1-1 vs Florida Southern last weekend. King's pitching staff is third in the Conference Carolinas allowing 11.24 hits per seven innings pitched (24th in Division II).
