Box Score
ANDERSON, SC- Lincoln Memorial made a statement with their win in the third game of the series against Anderson on Sunday after dropping both doubleheader games on Saturday.
The Railsplitters would strike first in the game during the top of the third with a single by
Andrew Keene scoring
Kasten Harvey. LMU would add two more to their lead in the fourth from a couple of miscues from the Trojan defense.Â
A seven spot in the top of the fifth would extend the Railsplitter lead to nine thanks to a few more errors from Anderson and runs batted in by
Kasten Harvey,
Gavin Whitehurst, and
Andrew Keene. Two runs in the bottom of the fifth from the Trojans would be answered in the top of the sixth by
Tyler Boyd to keep the lead at nine.Â
Lincoln Memorial would add two more in the seventh to round out their scoring for the day. Anderson's four runs in the seventh and eighth would not be enough, however, to overcome the Railsplitter damage, giving
Christian Pencek the win on the mound.
LMU moves to 15-8 on the season and 3-6 in SAC play. The Railsplitters will travel to Tigerville, South Carolina for a matchup with North Greenville tomorrow, March 20th, with the first pitch slated for 3:30 PM.
