Men's Lacrosse will travel this weekend to take on the #17 ranked Newberry Wolves to start conference play. The history with Newberry is 1-3. Last year, the Wolves beat the Railsplitters 16-6 in a home match.
The Railsplitters (3-2) are coming off a 17-9 win against Emmanuel College, looking to bring that same momentum into this next game.
Rhodes Conroy currently leads the team with 12 goals and nine assists.
Francis O'Hara and
Gavin Reid follow close behind with 11 goals.
Jordan Sullivan leads on the defensive side with nine caused turnovers and has 20 ground balls.
Michael Rogers follows with eight caused turnovers and 14 ground balls.
Scouting Newberry:
The Wolves are currently 4-1 with wins against Young Harris, Belmont Abbey, Mount Olive, and Lynn University. They are coming off a 12-22 loss against Rollins College.
They are currently led offensively by senior attacker Scott Reed who has 20 goals on the year. He is followed by junior attacker James Osorio who has 12 goals on the year and leads with nine assists.
