The Lincoln Memorial baseball team earned the No. 6 seed in the South Atlantic Conference Tournament and are scheduled to play No. 3 seed Catawba on Friday at 3 p.m. in the first round game in Wingate, N.C.
 
The Railsplitters (27-16, 13-11 SAC) were tied with Limestone and Tusculum in 7^th place entering the final weekend of the regular season but topped both and surpassed Anderson in the standings thanks to a sweep of Emory & Henry. Lincoln Memorial concluded the conference season winning 7 of their last 9 SAC games to clinch a spot in the postseason.
 
No. 1 seed Newberry will host one pod while No. 2 seed Wingate will host the other, as the opening round games are slated for Friday through Sunday in the double elimination style tournament. The winner of each pod will advance to the championship series at Smokies Stadium in Kodak, Tenn., which is set for May 7 and 8.

Lincoln Memorial is looking for its first SAC Tournament Championship since 2018.
