Harrogate, TN- The Lincoln Memorial Softball team will face King University on Wednesday, February 14th, in Harrogate for a midweek doubleheader starting at 1 PM and 3 PM.Â
The Lady Splitters are coming off a weekend competing in the Charger Chillout, where they went 2-2 in the span, gaining wins over Shorter and the University of Montevallo. LMU sits at 3-5 thus far in the Spring and will look to key players to keep improving the record.
Reese Vivrette is currently leading the team, batting .478 so far on the season with a 1.195 OPS, .609 SLG%, .586 OB%, and 11 hits.
Nicole Couvertiere and Hannah Bogoski have also gotten to strong starts on the season, each batting just sub .400 on the year with 13 combined hits and seven RBIs so far.Â
They will face a familiar opponent in King, the doubleheader marking the 35th and 36th meetings of the programs. LMU currently holds the series 22-12, looking to add to the win column against a Tornado team that is 0-2 on the season. Lincoln Memorial will look to put a stop to Tinsley Thompson, who is batting .625 with five hits already in those two games.Â
