Harrogate, TN- The Lincoln Memorial University men's and women's track team head to Lexington, Virginia today to the VMI Winter Relays. The meet will be held at the VMI Corps Physical Training Facility on North Main Street in Lexington. 

Following a weekend predominantly focused on field events at the Sewanne Indoor Invitational, the team will regroup to participate in a diverse range of track and field events.

The team is competing against SAC competitors Carson-Newman, Anderson, Coker, Lenoir-Rhyne, and Tusculum in preparation for the SAC indoor championships that are less than a month away. 

The initial day of the competition is scheduled to commence on Friday, January 26th, starting at 2:00 p.m. The events initiating the meet include the weight throw and long jump, both set to start at 2:00 p.m., while the 4x800-meter relay events are slated to kick off at 3:00 p.m.

On the inaugural day, both the 60-meter dash and 60-meter hurdle events will feature qualifying and preliminary rounds. Participants who successfully qualify during these rounds will proceed to compete in the finals, scheduled for Saturday, January 27th. The full VMI Winter Relay schedule can be found HERE.
