LMU Women’s Bowling rolls 8th place at Colombus Saints Invitational

Harrogate, TN- The Lincoln Memorial Women's Bowling team traveled to Maryville University for a three-day tournament this weekend. 

The team won 5 matches and lost 8 for 11,670 pins. In the first baker match on Sunday, Lincoln Memorial University bowled for 865 and competitors Central Missouri bowled for 883.  In the next round of the baker matches, LMU fell to the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater 907-1037. The team turned it around the third match against first place Mckendree, as they out bowled them 954-924. The team won the last baker match of the day against Wright State University (960-893).  

In the traditional matches, Lincoln Memorial University beat Oklahoma Christian (909-950). The team also beat Kentucky Wesleyan (865-890).  

Haley Powell was the top performer from the Railsplitters, placing 19th. She played 6 games and bowled 188, 215, 188, 178, 212, 174, totaling 1,155 pins. She averaged 192.50 pins per game. 

The Railsplitters will be back in action on February the 9th for the Mount Shootout.
