Harrogate, TN- The Lincoln Memorial men's and women's tennis teams competed in their season opener at home this weekend. The women competed both on Saturday and Sunday while the men competed only on Sunday. 

On Saturday, the women's team played against Belmont Abbey College from the Conference Carolinas. The team began the matches at 11:00 am, starting with doubles. F. Henricks and A. Burkhalter from Belmont Abbey competed against Railsplitters, Adriana Pellizzari and Rosalie Carrier-Dulac. The duo from Lincoln Memorial won 6-1. In the second doubles match, Mar Garcia Bucosa and Carla Ramonet also pulled off a 6-1 win. Tania Sfilio and Lucie Palud, in the third doubles match came out with victory. Five of the 5 Singles teams won their individual matches. Adriana Pellizzar competed first singles match versus Belmont Abbey's Frankee Hendricks.  

Belmont Abbey is now 3-1 on the season while Lincoln Memorial is 1-0
