Harrogate, TN- The Lincoln Memorial softball team will host UNC Pembroke for a doubleheader on Sunday, March 3rd, at Dorothy Neely Field in Harrogate, starting at 12 PM and 2 PM.
LMU currently sits at 11-11 on the season. First baseman
Katy Pozzuto is coming off a monster week, hitting .429 with 15 RBIs, seven drawn walks, and eight runs scored, including her game winning grand slam over Clarion on Sunday.
Reese Vivrette also continues to be a contributor for the Lady Splitters, batting .459 on the season with a 1.173 OPS.
Madison Henry and
Sterre den Duijn will also look to continue their strong start to the season, each of them with 18 RBIs on the season and over 20 hits.
This will be only the second meeting between the programs, the first being an LMU win back in 2016. UNC Pembroke is 7-14 on the season so far, playing against other SAC schools of the likes of Lenoir-Rhyne, Anderson, Catawba, Wingate, and Newberry. UNC Pembroke is 3-8 against SAC opponents and will also face Tusculum (Friday) and Carson-Newman (Saturday) before traveling to face the Splitters on Sunday.
