Harrogate, TN- The Lincoln Memorial softball team will host Catawba on Sunday, March 24th, for a doubleheader at Dorothy Neely Field starting at 2 PM and 4 PM.Â
The Lady Splitters are 17-15 (4-4) on the season so far, looking to bounce back from a series loss to Mars Hill this past week. Offense has not been in short supply for the team, averaging over 12 runs in their last five games. Six athletes are hitting over .300 on the season, contributing to the .319 average as a team.Â
Reese Vivrette remains the team's leader in batting average and hits, posting a .436 average on 41 hits.
Sterre den Duijn has also posted a strong stat line so far, leading the team in slugging percentage (.611), on-base percentage (.531), and RBIs (32).
Katy Pozzuto also has shown her dominance, leading the team in home runs on the year with a 1.112 OPS.
Margot van Eijl leads the pitching staff with her 87.2 innings pitched where batters against her have been held to a .296 average and struck out 65 times.Â
Catawba is 16-14 (4-2) on the season with their most recent action being series sweeps over Mars Hill and Tusculum. Their team is currently hitting .313 on the season with a .385 on-base percentage and .462 slugging percentage. Their pitching staff has a collective 5.21 ERA and 1.71 WHIP. The two programs have historically been close, with LMU's series and post-season win helping them hold the slight edge in their history.Â
