Harrogate, TN- In a captivating display of skill, the Lincoln Memorial University women's tennis team emerged victorious against Mars Hill University, securing a notable 6-1 win in today's matchup.
The Lady Railsplitters demonstrated their dominance early in the doubles matches, clinching victories in two out of three encounters. Despite a tough battle in the #1 Doubles, the Lady Railsplitters swiftly rebounded with impressive performances in the #2 and #3 Doubles. Adriana Pellizzari and Tania Sfilio showcased their prowess with a commanding 6-1 win in the #2 Doubles, while Rosalie Carrier-Dulac and Sophia Aray sealed the deal with a flawless 6-0 victory in the #3 Doubles.
Moving into singles play, the Lady Railsplitters continued to assert their dominance on the courts. Although Mars Hill managed to knick off one win in the #1 singles, the Lady Railsplitters quickly turned the tide with commanding performances in the remaining matches. Adriana Pellizzari, Mar Garcia Bucosa, Sophia Aray, and Haley White delivered flawless performances to secure victories in their respective matches.
Rosalie Carrier-Dulac displayed exceptional skill and resilience in the #2 Singles, securing a hard-fought win in a thrilling tiebreak. Her performance resulted in the final point the Lady Railsplitters needed to secure a 6-1 win over the Lions.
The ladies will be back in action tomorrow at 2:00 against rivalry school, Carson Newman University.
