Harrogate, TN- Lincoln Memorial Softball will travel to Hickory, NC on Wednesday, April 3rd, to take on Lenoir-Rhyne for a 1 PM/3 PM doubleheader. The games will take place at Bears Field.
LMU is coming off their most recent action in a series sweep over Coker at home on Saturday. The 22-16 (9-5) Splitters are currently hitting .322 as a team with a .463 on-base percentage, currently sitting in fifth in the South Atlantic Conference standings.
Reese Vivrette leads all members of the team in offense, hitting .477 on the year with a 1.227 OPS. She also leads the team in runs (45), hits (53), doubles (12), and HBPs (13).
Sterre den Duijn leads the team in RBI with 36 on the season via her 17 extra-base hits. Perhaps den Duijn's most interesting fact, however, is that she has been hit (10) more times than she has struck out at the plate so far this season.
Margot van Eijl continues to be a reliable starter for the Splitters on the mound, throwing 108.2 innings with 10 complete games, holding a 4.44 ERA and 1.53 WHIP.
Lenoir-Rhyne is 31-9 (9-4) on the season, hitting .321 on the season with a .964 OPS. Julia Mardigian leads the Bears with a .407 average on 57 hits. Lauren Rakes leads their pitching staff, going 11-5 on the season with a 3.66 ERA and 1.27 WHIP. The two programs have met plenty times before, LR holding the edge all-time in their history.
