Softball Falls to LR on the Road

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Hickory, NC- Softball fell on the road to Lenoir-Rhyne in both games on Wednesday, April 3rd, by scores of 1-9 and 2-12.

LR's Lauren Rakes, one of the top pitchers in the SAC, would prove to be a tough obstacle for LMU to overcome in game one. LMU would only earn three hits on the game, two coming from the third inning. Hits from Reese Vivrette and Anna Kate Reichter would aid in Madison Henry drawing a walk later in the inning to help plate the only run for team in the game. LR would have 13 hits in the game, plating nine runs.

Game two would go similarly, LR earning over 10 hits while LMU would struggle to plate runs. Vivrette would continue the momentum of her season and go a perfect three-for-three in the contest. Sterre den Duijn would be responsible for both runs the team would score in the second game, making contact in both the third and fifth innings to score Gracie Palmer and Vivrette, respectively.

Lincoln Memorial moves to 22-18 (9-7) on the season and will return to action on Saturday, April 6th, to take on Newberry at 1 and 3 PM in the team's Stronger Together games.
