Harrogate, TN- Softball is back at Dorothy Neely Field. Lincoln Memorial is set to open up its 2025 campaign this weekend as they host the Railsplitter Invitational this Saturday and Sunday, February 1st and 2nd. The Invitational will feature three other teams over the weekend: Emory & Henry, Tiffin, and Lees-McRae. 

LMU was picked fifth in the South Atlantic Conference Preseason Coaches Poll and will look different than last year's squad. The 2025 team will feature 12 new faces, with seven freshmen and five transfers new to the Blue and Gray. Alongside them will be several key returners, including the likes of Reese Vivrette and Hanna Bogoski, who both received SAC All-Conference nods at the end of last season. The team is currently slated to play at 12 PM and 4 PM on both Saturday and Sunday.

The Railsplitters will face Lees-McRae first. The Bobcats went 18-23 last season and were picked 11th in the Conference Carolinas Preseason Poll. The two programs will see each other twice over the course of the weekend, the games marking the 13th and 14th meetings all time between them. Lincoln Memorial currently holds the edge 11-1 in their series history. 

LMU will also face off against Tiffin two different times on opening weekend. Last season, the Dragons went 29-24 overall, finishing seventh in the Great Midwest Atlantic Conference. The programs have a short series history, with Tiffin holding the edge 4-1-1 all-time against Lincoln Memorial. Saturday's matchup will be the first since 2018 between the programs.
