Box Score HARROGATE Tenn. - The Lady Railsplitters wrapped up their first home match of the season, finishing with a win against Union College 4-3. 
To start off the doubles Lucie Palud and Rosalie Carrier-Dulac finished off their opponents with a strong 6-0 win. Carla Ramonet and Adriana Pellizzari fell short with a 3-6 finish at number 2 doubles. At 3 doubles Marta Melnichenok and Alexandra Ortiz had a nail-biting match with a final score of 6-7 (5-7). This put the Lady Railsplitters down by one point after the doubles match. 

To start the singles, Marta Melnichenok won at line 2 with a definitive finish of 6-2 6-0. Adriana Pellizzari had a tough match at number 1 finishing 2-6 4-6. The next match to finish was Rosalie Carrier-Dulac at number 3 singles, and she beat her opponent 6-2 7-6 (8-6). 

Making their first debuts to the LMU Women's Tennis team was Alexandra Ortiz and Mia Rodriguez. Alexandra Ortiz, at number 5 singles, would take her opponent 6-3 6-2. Rodriguez had a long and grueling fight but fell to the Bulldogs with a score of 3-6 7-5 2-6. 

To clinch the match was Mar Garcia, who also had a battle for the win. Garcia took her opponent to three sets and won with a score of 6-7 (4-7) 6-3 6-4. 
The Railsplitters will be back at the Indoor tennis facility tomorrow morning to play at Johnson University at 10:00 AM EST. Following this match the Splitters will play Georgetown College at 4:00 PM EST.
