Jefferson City, TN - The Lincoln Memorial Lady Railsplitters will travel to Jefferson City, TN to face the Eagles of Carson-Newman Wednesday, January 8th with tip-off at 5:30 pm. 

Wednesday's game will be the 63rd time that the two teams will meet, with the first match up dating back to February of 1974, where the Lady Railsplitters fell to the Eagles 42-46. Their most recent match up was last season in January of 2024, which resulted in a 64-72 loss. LMU's most recent win against Carson-Newman was also last season when Lincoln Memorial played host to the Eagles, 82-78.

Lincoln Memorial is coming off of a 63-50 win against Lenoir-Rhyne. Alexa Smiddy registered a team-high 22 points, while also hitting 1,000 career points. Caroline Sikkink led the team in rebounds with 8, and Smiddy also led in assists with 7. 

Currently, Smiddy is leading the team in points, as she is averaging 15.0 points per game, with Kamil Collier behind her, averaging 12.6 points per game. Collier is leading in rebounds with 9.5, and Matty Tanner is second on the team in rebounds with 5.1.

Collier is currently tied for second in the South Atlantic Conference in rebounds her game. Smiddy is also in second place in the SAC with 4.2 assists per game. 

Carson-Newman is coming off of a 71-65 loss against #23 Coker.

In the SAC standings, Lincoln Memorial is currently in 7th while Carson-Newman is sitting in 3rd. 

Tip-off is set for 5:30 pm.
