Harrogate, TN - The Lincoln Memorial women's basketball team and head coach Devan Carter have announced the upcoming schedule for the 2026-2027 season.
This season we will see 13 home games, which will be played in Tex Turner Arena, 12 away games, and two neutral site games. Of the 13 home games, 11 are South Atlantic Conference match ups, while 11 of the 12 road games are also against SAC opponents, with the team set to face each conference rival both at home and away.
In the six seasons that Carter has led the women's basketball team, they have gone 46-27 at home and 95-68 overall.
The Railsplitters are looking to build on the momentum from last season after finishing the 2025-26 season with a 26-5 overall record. LMU went undefeated at home during the regular season, hosted the NCAA Southeast Regional Tournament for the first time in program history, and finished the season ranked No. 15 in the nation.
Like last season, LMU will begin the season with the Conference Crossover, but this year Converse will be hosting the tournament. The Railsplitters will face Converse on November 13
th and King on November 14
th.
After the Crossover, Lincoln Memorial will then go on the road to the University of Charleston on November 18
th and then return home for their home opener against Ohio Christian University on November 20
th. The team will then begin conference play as they end November making the trip to Lenoir-Rhyne on November 28
th.
LMU will start December at home as they face Catawba on December 5
th, followed by a trio of away games. First, they will go to Mars Hill on December 9
th, followed by Wingate on December 12
th, and lastly Emory & Henry on December 16
th. The Railsplitters will end out the year with a pair of home games, first hosting Anderson on December 19
th, and then playing their final nonconference team of the season, UNC Pembroke, on December 31
st.
Lincoln Memorial will begin the new year on the road, traveling to Tusculum on January 6, followed by back-to-back home games against Newberry and Carson-Newman on January 9
th and January 13
th. The pattern continues with two away games as they will go on the road to Coker on January 16
th and UVA Wise on January 20
th. They will then host a pair of conference match ups, first against Lenoir-Rhyne on January 23
rd and then against Emory & Henry on January 27
th. The team will finish out the month on the road as they travel to Catawba on January 30
th.
The Railsplitters will start the final month of the regular season with two home games, as they will first host Tusculum on February 3
rd, followed by Wingate on February 6
th. The team will then make the short trip to Carson-Newman on February 10
th and then a longer trip to Anderson on February 13
th. LMU will then have a trio of home games to finish out the regular season at home, first hosting Mars Hill on February 17
th, then against Coker on February 20
th, and lastly UVA Wise on February 24
th. Lincoln Memoria will end the regular season on the road as they travel to Newberry on February 27
th.
The South Atlantic Conference Tournament will be March 3-6 in the Rock Hill Sports and Events Center in Rock Hill, SC.
