Harrogate, TN - The Lincoln Memorial men's wrestling team was back at home for the first time in nearly two months on Tuesday, playing host to the Montevallo Falcons in Mary Mars Gymnasium. With Montevallo taking five bouts by forfeit, Lincoln Memorial found itself behind-the-eight-ball before the match even began. However, things started off as good as they could have for the Railsplitters.
Adam Szewczyk took the first bout (133) by Fall, pinning his opponent in the final seconds of the first period. The second bout was very tightly contested, however,
Kade Millsaps fell by decision, 5-1. The 149 bout was decided by fall as
Andrew Overbay was pinned in the closing seconds of the opening frame. The 157 bout was decided by tech fall as
Julian Smith fell to Nick Dempsey. The fifth and final bout of the evening saw Randy Bucsok fall to Carson Freeman by tech fall in two periods. Montevallo went on to secure a 49-6 victory over Lincoln Memorial.
