Men’s Golf Wraps Fall Campaign Ranked No. 24 in Final Bushnell/Golfweek Poll

Harrogate, TN - Lincoln Memorial men's golf capped a strong fall 2025 schedule ranked No. 24 nationally in the final Bushnell/Golfweek Division II Coaches Poll released October 31. The Railsplitters opened the year ranked No. 3 and remained in the national picture throughout a demanding slate that featured four tournaments across Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina.

LMU began the fall with momentum at the UNG Mizuno Intercollegiate, where Morgan Cain captured individual medalist honors at 209 (–7) after winning a playoff. The Railsplitters placed 11th as a team but set the tone for the semester. The group followed with a T-7 finish at the Hurricane Invitational, led by Edward Mason and Harry Dickins at +4, before claiming a 5th-place result at the Currahee Invitational, highlighted by Cain's T-10 at –1 and Dylan Hussey's T-13 finish at even par.

The team's top showing against elite competition came at the Copperhead Championship (Innisbrook Resort, Palm Harbor, Fla.), where LMU tied for 6th place in one of Division II's toughest fields, featuring 10 of the top 15 programs nationally. Ryan Gavin led with a T-11 finish at +2, while Cain and Dickins each tied for 26th.

LMU concluded its fall slate with an 11th-place finish at the Golfweek Fripp Island to Bermuda Invite, where Cain and Dickins again led the lineup with matching T-29 finishes at +3. Host Lee captured the team title at 839 (–25), and Lee's Drew Zielinski went on to earn a start in the PGA TOUR's Butterfield Bermuda Championship, marking the first PGA Tour exemption awarded to an active Division II player.

The Railsplitters finish the semester behind a top 25 loaded with power programs Lee (1st), Grand Valley State (2nd), West Florida (3rd), Central Oklahoma (4th), and Florida Southern (5th) but remain firmly among the nation's elite at No. 24 overall.

LMU now turns its attention to winter training before resuming competition in early 2026, aiming to climb back inside the national top 20 during the spring championship push.
