St. Augustine, FL - Lincoln Memorial men's golf is set to return to action Feb. 9–10 as the Railsplitters host the Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate at St. Johns Golf & Country Club in St. Augustine, Florida. The two-day event marks LMU's first tournament of the spring and the program's first competition since closing the fall slate with an 11th-place finish at the Golfweek Fripp Island to Bermuda Invite.
LMU enters the spring ranked No. 27 nationally in the latest Division II rankings (updated Feb. 4, 2026) after finishing the fall ranked No. 24 in the final Bushnell/Golfweek DII Coaches Poll of 2025. The Railsplitters' fall was highlighted by Morgan Cain's individual win at the UNG Mizuno Intercollegiate, plus strong showings against elite fields at the Currahee Invitational (5th) and the Copperhead Championship (T-6) before wrapping up at Fripp Island.
This week's host field is stacked with proven contenders and familiar names, including No. 25 Lander, No. 7 Georgia Southwestern, No. 18 North Georgia, No. 6 Wingate, No. 9 Columbus State, and No. 10 Catawba, along with strong regional programs like Lenoir-Rhyne, Flagler, Erskine, Belmont Abbey, Mount Olive, Ferris State, and St. Mary's (TX).
With spring championship season approaching, the Spring Kickoff gives LMU a chance to start 2026 with momentum on a course and setup they know well while measuring themselves immediately against a field full of ranked, postseason-caliber competition.
