Berea, OH – For the fourth time this season, the Lincoln Memorial University women's wrestling team took part in an open meet, as the Railsplitters traveled to the campus of Baldwin Wallace University for the Baldwin Wallace Open, where the Railsplitters wrestled for individual results.  

The Railsplitters saw success in the 131-pound weight class, as Both Alyssa Roberts and Sophia Walls would earn wins in the first round of the bracket. Roberts earned a win via fall in one minute and 27 seconds of wrestling over her opponent from Lourdes, while Walls earned a fall win in the same amount of time over her opponent from Georgetown University.  

All three of LMU's representatives in the 131-pound division would earn wins to open the consolation round of the bracket, with Calista Gibson and Roberts earning wins via technical fall over opponents from Washington & Jefferson and Lourdes respectively. Walls would earn a fall win over her opponent from Washington & Jefferson to advance in the bracket.  

Gibson and Roberts would square off head-to-head in the following round, with Roberts earning a 10-6 decision win. 

In the 145-pound division, Shonticia Taft earned two fall wins in the consolation bracket, starting with a win over Washington & Jefferson before earning a win in just over a minute over her opponent from Aurora, as Morgan secured fifth-place in the 145-pound class. 

LMU will open the month of December by participating in the Patriot Duals, hosted by the University of the Cumberlands starting on December 5th and running through the 6th.
