Marietta, GA – The Lincoln Memorial University Women's Wrestling team traveled to face off in the Eagle Madness Open on Saturday, hosted by Life University. The Railsplitters wrestled eight in competition, and no team score was awarded. 

Madison Northern earned her first win of her collegiate career, as the freshman picked up a first-round win over an opponent from Huntingdon in the 110-pound division to open her day of wrestling.  

In the 160-pound weight class, freshman Shandrea Morgan would earn an opening round win over an opponent from Missouri Baptist via technical fall, securing 10 points and advancing to the quarterfinals of the meet.  

Sophia Walls picked up from her performance last week, making a run in the consolation round of the 131-pound class, defeating an unattached opponent via fall to make the second consolation round of the tournament.  

The Railsplitters stay on the road next Sunday, as they head to Clinton, South Carolina to face off in the Blue Hose Challenge Open hosted by Presbyterian College on November 16 at 9:00 a.m.
