St. Augustine, FL - The LMU Men's Golf Team finished playing the Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate tournament at the St. Johns Golf and Country Club. The team would take home first place at (-14), 287-275-288-850.
Right behind LMU was Wingate University and Columbus State who tied for second place with an overall score of 855 (-9). In fourth place was Georgia Southwestern State University and they would finish 866 (+2).
Finishing in second place was George Durkan with a score of (-8) 70-67-71-208. Right behind Durkan was Max Reynolds who was in fourth place at (-7) 68-67-74-209. Placing tied for tenth was Ian Taggart and he would finish with a score of (-2) 74-73-67-214.
Landing himself tied for 17th place was Railsplitters Ryan Gavin and Jamie Dean. Gavin would finish with a score of (+2) 79-71-68-218, and Dean would finish at (+2) 70-73-75-218. Loic Naas would finish off the day in tied for 63rd place at (+11) 83-70-75-228.
The LMU Men's Golf team has started off their season strong and will be out to compete again March 2-4 at the Las Vegas Desert Classic in St. Louis, MO at the Boulder Creek Golf Course.
